The City of King will be launching King City Community Power (“KCCP”) electric energy service on July 2, 2018. Each PG&E customer will be sent another notice about how to opt-out of KCCP if you want to stay on with PG&E electric service. Otherwise, your account will be transferred automatically. As a King City Community Power Customer you will receive lower rates, assist in funding for new solar streetlights, no-cost solar for low-income families and more use of clean energy. The City of King is also looking at possibly building a new solar power plant. For more information, go online to: kingcitycommunitypower.org.
