A residential structure fire broke out on Saturday night, March 3 at 11:30 PM on the 2000 block of Vista Oaks Way
in Paso Robles. First arriving firefighters found smoke and fire coming from an
exterior wall and extending into the attic. Firefighters were able to confine
the fire to the area of origin and worked to prevent smoke and water damage to
the remainder of the structure. 16 firefighters responded to the incident with
additional assistance from the Paso Robles Police Department and the San Luis
Ambulance Service. A mother and 2 children were able to safely evacuate prior
to the firefighters arriving. The cause of the fire appears to be from an
in-use wood burning fireplace.
