KING CITY, Calif., 14 July, 2025 — The Lown Institute, a nationally recognized healthcare think tank, has released its 2025–26 Hospital Index, a national independent ranking of the top-performing hospitals. This index, considered a benchmark in the healthcare industry, evaluates hospitals and recognizes leaders in the movement for socially responsible healthcare. Mee Memorial Healthcare System earned top marks across all major categories in this year’s prestigious ranking, continuing its strong performance seen in the 2024 and 2021 editions of the index.

Founded in 1973 by Nobel Peace Prize winner Bernard Lown, MD, The Lown Index seeks to spotlight hospitals that provide exceptional, high-value patient care to everyone in their communities.
