National Wreaths Across America Day to be Held at King City Cemetery on December 17

King City Cemetery, an official Wreaths Across America location will host a wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, December 17 starting at 10 am joining more than 3,500 other locations across the Country for National Wreaths Across America Day. Coordinated and led by local volunteers and  fundraising groups, the goal this year is to place 450 wreaths on veterans graves at the King City Cemetery if they have enough donations ($15/wreath) to do this.  This annual event seeks to further the Wreaths Across America mission of Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.        There will be a color guard from the King City High School Junior ROTC as well as military service members from Fort Hunter Liggett participating in the ceremony.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Volunteers are needed to place the wreaths and are asked to meet at the Cemetery at 9:30 am prior to the ceremony for instructions. Volunteers are also needed to mark the veterans graves on Friday, December 16 at 1 pm at the Cemetery.
For further information on this event or to purchase a wreath for 2023, please contact Kathy Imamura (408) 802-4437 or by email at kdimamura@sbcglobal.net
