Santana Set to Perform at the 2022 California Mid-State Fair; Tickets Go On-Sale On Friday, May 20 at 10:00 AM

(PASO ROBLES, CA) – The California Mid-State Fair is pleased to announce that Santana has

been confirmed to perform in concert on Saturday, July 23 at 7:30 pm. An opening act will be

announced at a later date. The concert will take place in the Chumash Grandstand Arena at the

Paso Robles Event Center. This will be Santana’s first appearance at the CA Mid-State Fair.

Ticket prices for the show are $40, $50, $90, $150 and $175 and will go on sale Friday,

May 20, 2022, starting at 10:00 am online only at www.MidStateFair.com.

For more than five decades – from Santana’s earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-

blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco – Carlos Santana has been the visionary force behind

artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries.

To date, Santana has won ten Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammys, with a record-tying

nine Grammys for a single project for 1999’s Supernatural (including Album of the Year and

Record of the Year for “Smooth”). He has received the Billboard Century Award (1996), was

ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1998), received the Billboard Latin Music Awards’

Lifetime Achievement honor (2009), and was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors Award

(2013).

Among many other distinctions, Carlos Santana has been cited by Rolling Stone as #15 on their

list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time;” and has joined the Rolling Stones as one of only

two bands to have an album reach the Top 10 in every decade since the 1960s.

In 2018, he released his first MasterClass, and recently celebrated three epic milestones - the

20th anniversary of his groundbreaking album Supernatural, the 50th anniversary of his

legendary performance at Woodstock, and the 50th anniversary of his masterpiece Abraxas. His

most recent album, the powerful, energy-infused Blessings and Miracles (2021) features

collaborations with Rob Thomas, Chris Stapleton, Steve Winwood, and many others.

The 2022 California Mid-State Fair runs July 20 through July 31 and this year’s theme is “Full

Suspect Vehicle in King City Quadruple Homicide on March 3 Has Been Located

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of the King City Police Department is informing the community that the suspect vehicle involved in a quadruple homicide that occurred Sunday, March 3 on the 200 block of North Second Street in King City, has been located and recovered. The vehicle was located in an unincorporated area of South Monterey County. The King City Police Department is receiving assistance from multiple local and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation. Based on the nature of this investigation, no further details regarding the recovery of this vehicle are being released at this time. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office and the King City PD are asking the community for their assistance in reporting any information they may know regarding this incident which tragically left 4 people dead and 7 people injured, two with critical injuries. Man in Greenfield Arrested on May 11 for April 15 Shooting in King City

According to the King City Police Department, a Greenfield man was arrested on Thursday, May 11 for a shooting that happened in King City on Saturday night, April 15, 2023, at approximately 8:43 PM on the 600 Block of Bishop Street. The incident occurred when there was a celebration in a carport area of a residence with over 100 people in attendance. A vehicle passed by that residence and words were exchanged between one of the people attending the celebration and passengers in the vehicle. The vehicle continued down the street before turning around and coming back. As the vehicle passed the residence a 2nd time, an occupant inside the vehicle fired several shots in the direction of the celebration. In the process, a juvenile sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower leg. The juvenile was transported to a hospital for treatment. Through the continuing investigation, Detectives assigned to the King City Police Department Investigations Unit identified several subjects

A 3 vehicle crash ocurred on Highway 101 Southbound near the Front Street exit in Soledad at 4:01 pm on Thursday afternoon, December 7. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
